Can I help?

Yes - you can help!
Why not start a WASTE WARRIORS' Sunday meeting in your
local area?
Simply arrange with a few friends to meet at 7am (or whatever time suits
you!) on the last Sunday of each month at a local rally point and then
"play" at picking up garbage and spreading happiness for however long
you want! Wear protective gloves always. Don't forget to drink plenty of
water. Re-cycle aluminium cans by keeping them separate, if you can!
Any questions? Email: wastewarriors@yahoo.com
It's easy! It's fun! It's doing your bit for the environment for
future generations. It's making a positive difference.
Write and let us know how you go and send photos to:

"A positive attitude is the difference maker" - John C Maxwell
A WASTE WARRIORS' war-cry is: "I am only one... I can't do
everything, but I can do something!"
- When you are involved in any social or business occasion on public
land (e.g. parks, barbeque areas, children's playgrounds etc.) or in
public buildings (e.g. basketball stadium, ice-skating rink etc.), make
sure that when you leave the site it is the cleanest it can be and at
least cleaner than when you arrived! This includes picking up
cigarette butts and putting them in a bin. Note: Don't forget to wear
gloves.
- When you have a party, always have a recycling bag for the bottles
and aluminium cans (and large cardboard if you feel REALLY
GOOD!). Take the bag home, if necessary, and empty it in your
recycling bin. Let's stop Landfill problems - RECYCLE Everyone!
- Sponsor an ASHBIN for your local area. Contact WASTE
WARRIORS for more details.
- Every day pick up at least one piece of somebody else's rubbish and
place it in a bin.
- Don't drop litter!
- Never throw anything out of vehicles (especially cigarette butts).
- If you are a smoker, always take your cigarette butts home or use a
"personal ashtray" or butt bin.
- Tell your mates it is not cool to rubbish our beautiful world.
- Don't rubbish Australia.
- Do the right thing and take your litter home with you or use bins
provided.
- Start a worm farm and/or compost heap to recycle your kitchen
scraps. (It's fun ... especially for children!)
- Re-use, reduce, recycle as much as possible.
- Say "no" to plastic bags.
- Have respect for yourself and respect for others.
If you do any or all of the above you are a WASTE WARRIOR already
(even if you don't wear the T-shirt)!
Thank you for caring for our world.
Together we will make a positive difference!
