By the way, in New South Wales you
can report anyone you see throwing
rubbish (especially cigarette butts)
from their vehicle to 131555 giving time,
date and location of incident plus 3 ID
marks e.g. registration number, colour
and make of vehicle, type of vehicle, etc.

WASTE WARRIORS GREECE
Hello, I am writing with regard to cigarette butts on beaches, at present I
am working for Archipelagos based in Greece, and am hoping to start a
campaign aimed at lowering the numbers which are litter illegally. As with
the rest of the world it would be assumed that Greece is suffering from the
same detrimental impacts, which may in fact be enhanced by the fact the
Greece is the highest smoking EU nation. I have conducted studies on
cigarette butts on South Devon beaches England, but have never been
involved in a campaign directly, I have written to the local councils on the
island of Ikaria, and they may be installing new cigarette butt bins, and
have asked me to make posters to advertise their presence, but I am just
not sure where to go from here? I do realise that you must be very busy,
but any help/guidance would be very much appreciated.
